Forbes Magazine names Flora Indica as one of the Best Indian Restaurants in London!

…A little further afield but definitely worth the trip to West London is Flora Indica which has just launched a new menu featuring unusual dishes like spiced pulled duck cheela, pickled octopus and jerusalem artichoke flavoured with tamarind. Hearty curry dishes were satisfying as well with a slow cooked duck leg accompanied with potato and coconut sauce as Paul’s choice and monkfish and king prawn curry as mine. The restaurant’s intriguing name is a tribute to a nineteenth-century book by the same name which catalogued thousands…

“I wish I could eat at Flora Indica EVERY NIGHT!!”

Having heard about this Earl’s Court gem of a restaurant two friends and I just had to visit. AND what a wonderful dining experience we had at Flora Indica on Saturday evening. Indian Tapas at its very finest. We spent 3 hours exploring familiar flavours put together with innovation and style that culminated in the most amazing ‘taste sensation’. To name just a few: Nibbles of Okra Fries and Green Banana Chips as we sipped on Guru Bellinis. Our shared starters followed…

Flora Indica reviewed by The Foodaholic

…While the majority of the food is all about sharing, there is such thing as a main course and so you really can keep it all to yourself. Corn-fed bergamot lemon chicken tikka came served in a rich & creamy makhani sauce and was utter heaven. It was one of those dishes which leaves you gasping momentarily and the sauce was so much more refined than I’d expected. Slow braised Suffolk lamb shoulder came in an indulgent and silky rogan josh sauce which did not…

“Wonderful in every way!”

We were referred here by our hotel. We found it fabulous and returned before we left for home. The setting is delightful and modern with a slightly quirky twist. The atmosphere is welcoming and upbeat with staff who seem genuinely glad you’re there. They offer insight into the flavors and want you to have something you’ll enjoy. The cocktails are quite creative and compliment the meals well. The food is the obvious star and is what brought us back for a second…

Flora Indica recommended by The Court Magazine!

“…But it was with the Small Plates that the adventure really got going. I am a massive fan of pipirrana con pulpo, the Spanish tapas so often served in the tiny bars around Malaga port. But Flora Indica’s Pickled Octopus with chilli tempura samphire and squid ink doi maach sauce (£9) is from a different planet. It was the softest, most delicate, most beautifully presented octopus dish I have ever tasted. This was followed in quick succession by a wave of Small Dishes…

Flora Indica featured on Crummbs.co.uk

“The menu is made up of small plates designed for sharing, including adaptations of traditional curries as well as small plates. We were recommended to try three or four small plates between two, followed by one of their curries. To begin, we sampled the achari tender broccoli, Paneer cheese and spinach bon-bon and Jerusalem artichoke Papdi Chaat. The Jerusalem artichoke came as small fried ‘crisps’ layered with tamarind yoghurt and pomegranate – we’d never had artichoke cooked like this before and enjoyed…

“A great experience”

My wife and I had dinner last night and it was one of the best we ever had. The food is delicious! We had Jerusalem artichoke for the first time and we loved it. The duck leg curry and the monkfish and prawn curry were divine. The service was also amazing. Our waiter, Didier recommended us some of the dishes we had and we are so glad he did. He also explained us the concept of the restaurant which is pretty interesting….

FOOD REVIEW: Flora Indica, Earl’s Court in The LDN Social

“A Bengali malai monkfish and king prawn curry was one of the best we’ve ever tasted. The large king prawns were cooked to perfection, so juicy and tender they almost fell apart in the mouth. Slow-braised Suffolk lamb shoulder Rogan Josh was slow-cooked for 24 hours with a rich spiced flavour, perfect for a rainy day in April. Basmati rice was not an afterthought as it so often can be, served with a unique mix of Kaffir lime leaf and pistachios which…

“Excellent! Best Indian around Chelsea!!”

I went there with high expectations and Flora Indica managed to exceed them. The restaurant is beautiful, really, it is stunning!! , the service is attentive and the food is even better. We went there with my wife for a Sunday lunch. We had a selection of 6 sharing plates between us to start with and it was so delicious we had to order an additional 4 plates between us. We literarily licked our plates clean! My wife favourite was the slow…
