All set in our steampunk inspired restaurant you will be transported to our ‘Engine Room’ for a culinary experience of fresh locally sourced ingredients, traditional British produce combined with exotic spices from India. 

Each dish within our tasting menu is carefully designed to let you explore and indulge in all the unique elements and textures that define our cuisine here at Flora Indica.

Journey through time. A sensory experience of flavours and aromas in a setting that encompasses the lavish Victorian banquets held in the 1800’s with a modern twist.

About Us

Flora Indica is inspired by and pays homage to the intrepid Scottish botanists who travelled throughout India during the Victorian period. This exploration lead to the discovery of thousands of species of exotic plants, previously unknown to Great Britain. As a result of these endeavours, the book which contains this epic catalogue of botanical species, titled Flora Indica, published in London in 1855.

The stunningly atmospheric Flora Indica Engine Room can seat up to 70 and the ground floor bar & lounge has seating up to 30. Located on the historic and splendid, Old Brompton Road Chelsea, our stylish venue is perfect for private dining, corporate events, group bookings, and bespoke celebrations.
